Your engine doesn't have a defuel option based on EGT's, only your Edge can do that, at whatever you have it set for.

1400 is a bit warm, IMHO, for added timing.. thou I am not sure how much timing the Edge actually adds.

I tow 17K with my '03 dually, 6psd with 4.10s. Edge is set to defuel at 1350F but can still spike to 1400F before it pulls back if I'm running the Edge on 4.

Just picked up a Smarty Jr and a HE351 turbo so I pretty excited to see how thats going to affect EGTs pulling the big trailer.
