I'd skip the Amsoil tranny fluid as you'd be wasting money dumping it every 25 - 30k, which is about the length of time you should be going between dropping the pan, changing the filter, and replacing the fluid that came out. Just buy some Mopar ATF4+ from the dealer or get some Valvoline ATF4+ from Autozone, it'll be fine.

As for the trans filter I used Mopar as I could not buy one at Napa, they told me my trans was not listed in there book. As for the ATF I used Amsoil and like that its 100% synthetic. FYI Mopar ATF is made from dino group III base stock.

Thumbs up Amsoil ATF

Amsoil says you can go 100,000 miles between changes, I go 75,000

I highly doubt you'll see a 50 degree difference in trans temps simply from using a different fluid. Numbers like that are the kind you get from adding a secondary fluid cooler. I wasn't basing changing intervals off of how much you tow. Whether you daily drive or tow at you max weight limit, it's a good idea to keep the fluid fresh in the transmission, especially since the filters for these transmission are more like screens than filters. It's a lot easier to do that than deal with return hose's and getting in and out of the truck to start and stop it for a full flush at double that rate.
