my truck(engine, tranny, t-case, and axels) was switched over to amsoil at about 215,000 miles and no leaks. The motor has had a leak from somewhere in the front since we got it but it hasn't gotten any worse. i have to add a quart every 500-1000 miles or so.

If you don't have high miles, feel free to switch with no engine flush, and it will be just fine. I've been running Amsoil in my truck for about 30k with no problems.

what is considered high milage? I have roughly 80,000 is that considered high for pre-cleaning? I would like to get into the synthetic program, but I dont want oil leaks

You'll get used to it, but it isn't as potent as rotella. I like it thst my garage has all the fancy amsoil fragrences.

I put Amsoil in mine and I have leaks everywhere. I had them before I put it in and I still have them. I run it in everything I own and have been since 1997. If there were no leaks before Amsoil then there shouldn't be any leaks when Amsoil is used. Some people call it "snake oil" but it does work.

I switched to amsoil at 65k and no leaks. Mine smells for about 1000 miles then it goes away.
