Just wanted to say thank you for your wealth of knowledge here. I'm a year-long lurker and in that year I've owned a 1st and a 3rd gen cummins, and without this resource base, I'd have been in big trouble many times, and probably flat out broke. I can't express how valuable this network is.

Just over the weekend my 3rd gen started stalling out during idle. an hour or so of research on these forums and a call to cummins I swapped out my FCA with no issues (you all even told me what torx to buy) - fixed my problem right away. I'm sure it would have cost me at least 5x as much at the shop and they probably wouldn't have been able to diagnose as quickly (it wasn't throwing any fuel supply related codes).

Anyway, maybe someday I'll have enough experience to contribute, but until then, just wanted to say thanks.

No need to be just a lurker. I joined this site shortly before I bought my truck (in sig). I had only a small knowledge of diesels and with reading here like you did and joining in on several threads I learned A LOT more very fast. And I still consider myself a drop in the bucket compared to some of the others here!! LOTS of knowledge here for sure. So jump on in
