ABS & brake Light Lit up????

ABS & brake Light Lit up????

Just cranked my truck it's not been driven in a couple of weeks and the ABS & brake light is on??? checked the fluid all good, tested brakes in drive way all good, made a 2 mile jog out and back to the main rd... all good stops perfect,

Any Ideas????

well It cleared now??? did i mention it was 26°F this morning and now that its good and daylight the brake fluid looks kinda dark and I think I will flush it... Ive owned it going on 4 years and have never flushed it might b a good time

Cant think of any thing else to try???

Sometimes the control solenoids with fluid that is getting beyond its service life will get a little sticky due to the moisture and contaminates in the fluid. The antilock needs to be used every now and then. I live in the frozen north with plenty of ice and snow to use antilock. Flush the fluid, find a slick road and work the antilock a bit to keep the solenoids free.

Might be your rear axle speed sensor, on the top of the diff. Cheap fix, about $35 from local parts store.

Mine dose the same thing if under heavy accelaration below 1800 rpm pulling a load.
