ABS/Brake light! .....again.

Hello all. This weekend while out hunten, I was driving on a dirt road about 40mph and hit a massive pot hole in the road. Both the front and rear end slammed into this thing. Immediately after, my abs and brake light came on. Everything else works with the truck, and it still drives straight down the highway. I looked and looked for something broke such as a sensor on the diffs. I found nothing. I did a search and while there are tons of threads on this, I couldn't quite find what I was looking for. So, instead of continuing to spend hours and hours under my truck, maybe you guys can help.

Thanks

Jason

Same thing happened to me. I found a smashed wire insulator around the overload bumper under the truck leading to the sensor. After peeling back the insulator, I noticed the wire inside had been severed without an exterior cut to the insulator. I spliced the two wires together, wrapped with electrical tape, problem solved. Hope this helps.

You bet!!! A few hours after posting this, I found the problem. I have dual exhaust under my truck and they hang some what close to the rear diff. Well, after looking under my truck, I noticed that I have a major dent in my exhaust. Huh? I hit that pot hole so hard, my rear end came up and slammed into the exhaust Y. I too peeled back the wire loom 2 inches from the sensor, and sure enough, smashed wires. After looking at the wires closerone of them was cut in half. Now I'm hoping thats all the damage I did to it. Lol.

Thanks
