Re:6 speed Shifter ****

mine was straight until about 40,000 miles, then it started angling toward me. can't figure out why it stayed so long.

Re:6 speed Shifter ****

Mine is still planted in the same position. But I'm looking for a replacement **** in either leather or burlwood/leather. Christmas is just around the corner!

There is a stub from the transmission about 4 inches high, the lever screws to it, the **** screws to the lever.

My hole shifter is spinning out also. I found out the hard way. Driving down the road "at night" spinning the **** thinking that I was unscrewing the **** and all of a sudden the hole shifter was in my hand I felt like a goof.

Mine has been spinning also. Just keep shifting it will keep lining itself up every few thousnd miles. I think DC designed it for a service reminder..

In my 2004.5 it was the insert turning. I thought that it was the ****.
The insert is pretty tricky to remove without marking it up. I cut about 10 notches in the ridge (below the surface) and reinserted it and no turning since. I picked up that tip on another thread on this forum. Took about 10 minutes.

Good Luck

Mine has been rotating since day one. It has spun 360 twice in 15k.

Mine was right-side-up, straight up and down when the truck was new. By the time it had 5000 miles on it, the indicator was perfectly up-side down and has been that way ever since (19000 miles on it now).

I found it easier to remove the ****, pop the insert out from inside, then put **** back on, tighten nut under the **** (yes there is one) and then use the RTV dab-will-do-ya when I had the stock ****, my SRT-10 **** insert does not move at all.
