Well they wanted $80.00 to flash it and I sure wasn't paying to have someone screw up something that is running good.

I have always had trouble with them even when I taking my old truck there a V10 since 97.

My '99 had to have the eprom flashed not long after I bought to fix a HP problem.
The jokers at the dealership knew nothing about it! I printed out the TSB and took it to them. After hooking their dittle box to it, they scratched their heads for awhile and finally agreed "things don't look just right". They found the new program and flashed the eprom. I could tell the power difference before I got off the lot.

I had to do the same thing for the heater hose inlet valve that had a whisteling problem.

I wonder if he got the 6.0L mixed up with the 6.1L. You guys remember the whole 6.1 rumor that the news paper were reporting and such. That or someone got him mixed up with the new powerstroke. -Anthony

I believe this is what Ron meant.

Cummins is going to buy International and replace the 5.9l Cummins with a new 6.0l Cummins Powerstroke.

Right, and Honda is going to buy Arctic Cat and replace the Suzuki motors. Good idea, but not happening.

not being a Cummins owner (yet), maybe this is a stupid question... is it possible that the 5.9 - 6.0 are flash version numbers (not displacement)?
