5K Check engine light

***! I have 5072mi on the truck and this morning I got a check engine light, its bone stock, (thank God) this is crap. I havent taken it in to get it checked but it dont matter they dont have any openings at the dealership, I will head to autozone tonight to see what the light is for.

Any ideas?

You'll just have to see what code is set and go from there. I had a P0071 (ambient Air Temp) code set at 4000 miles. I reset it and so far its not come back.

Are there driveability symptoms?

So far no, but for 40K you think it would have lasted a little longer . At least this way I can get that reflash for hard starting and better gas mileage. But it just makes me mad. I had an 00 Camaro that I beat the crap out of for 80,000 miles and it never saw the shop...except to change the clutch but I did it in the driveway. I dont understand.

geeze, getting all mad for a sensor that might have come loose. If the truck is still running it is prolly something very minor. Drive it, if it dies, then raise satan.

The key on/off 3 times works on an 06. May have to try it a few times, you have to do it pretty quickly. I got a battery temp rational and later go an intake sensor rational. Bot times the outside temperatures were really changing. I would try that first before getting upset.

Ok I did the turn key thing wrong, its acc to on to acc to on to acc to on, then the odometer said done, and the engine light blinked 10 times then stayed on. Started the truck and nothing changed, light still on.

If it display showed "done" I would assume there were no codes. I do not have any other help for that one. Turning the key off & on 3 times is tricky, it took me a few times to get it right. Hope they can fix it for you tomorrow.

Autozone checked the code for me last night and it was the fuel rail pressure sensor.

My truck shows the fuel rail sensor code (P0191) occasionally. However, the truck runs fine. Quite a while back, there were some posts on this code. If I remember correctly, the posts stated that Chrysler was aware of the problem and was going to issue a TSB in June. Here it is June and I have not heard about a new TSB for this issue. Anyone have any new information about if/when Chrysler is to issue a TSB?

Yesterday my check engine light came on at 5985 miles I went to the service department that afternoon and they said it was nothing major and I could drive it but it needed to be reflashed. Do I have any options on the reflash? I posted on the performance site and have only gotten one reply. When I got in to drive home the check engine light was off? It is still off this morning. There is no charge for the reflash from my dealer. I have an appointment for the reflash on Monday.
