Not a bad idea either....However, I'm still gonna carry an extra. But that said, are there TQ specs for that application that anyone is aware of? Or is it just "tighten down on it till you feel it's solid?"

#4 ............ counting from the front or the back of the engine?

How hard is this to change if you carry a spare with you? My truck has 150K and I'm towing 10K next week about 1000 miles.

I was driving to work one morning and noticed some excess vibration from the rear end... 2 days later I finally got a chance to go get my wheels balanced (that's what I thought the problem was) and it didn't fix the problem... after 3 or 4 more days it dawned on me to check my U-Joints... sure enough there it was... fixed that and 2 days later the injector line blew!

Crazy! I never would have guess that Bad U-Joints would cause a fuel line problem, but hey... you learn something new every day!
I tow heavy trailers with my 06 2500 ram, noticed a driveline vibration, replaced a thrashed rear diff ujoint and a week later my #4 injector line started spraying fuel on the freeway. Not sure yet if the compression fitting failed as it a appears okay or if the injector tube is cracked or the oring went bad... But the stabilizing bracket that holds the injector line was loose and it must have been wiggling pretty good from that extra driveline vibration when the ujoint started going out. Funny...

More than likely the line cracked. That is what happens when the bolt comes loose.

4th from the front, or 3rd one from the back... Super easy, two compression fitting nuts at 19mm on each end of the line, and a 10mm to remove the stabilizing bracket. literally not even ten minutes to replace the line...

I just looked really closely at it and it doesn't seem to be cracked. I plugged the end of the line and blew into it and could hear air leaking out of the sleeve of the compression fitting that the line is pressed into... That is also where I saw the fuel spraying out of when I had the tow truck driver crank it over while I watched it. So these things can crack or the sleeve fitting can give out. A buddy of mine who works on these things a lot said another way it goes out is that the line and fitting will hold but the injector tube inside the head will crack, or the o-ring that seals the injector tube will blow out as the whole thing vibrates...
