4wd low light flashing

2006 Dodge 3500 Mega Cab SRW--Had this happen to me yesterday while driving down the highway, the 4wd low light started flashing, seems like two slow one fast the repeats. Next one is 2 fast 1 slow. Service 4wd soon light also came on once too. Seems like it won't come out of 4wd as you can feel it hopping taking corners. I tried looking up TSB's ect. but could only find one for 1500's that seems similar. This might be unrelated but I also hooked up a EDGE with attitude yesterday right before this all happened and the turbo timer isn't hooked up yet. Also changed oil, checked all fluids and greased the chassis HELP! ideas, thoughts?

Well now the 4wd works fine and stays in 2wd like it should but now the external temp is stuck at 14* Celcious, (Canadian) and its about 35 degrees here today. (About 95* Farenheit) Also the passenger side window stopped working with the drivers control but still works with the passenger control. What the bleep is going on??????

Unhook the Edge and see what happens.

Sounds like you might have thrown some codes, also...

Do you have electric locker? I had problem with metal on sensor causing problem with unlocking. Try cleaning sensor and changing fluid.
The electric locker differential has a 12 volt electromagnet coil on the ring gear side of the differential. When the coil is energized a dog clutch is engaged in the differential case which locks both axles. A 5 volt magnetic target sensor (1) mounted on the bearing cap is used to indicate the system has been activated.

I checked the codes with the Edge, nothing. Ran it into the dealer they found nothing as well. I don't think I have a electric locker but I'll check tommorrow. The service 4wd light flashes like your wiggling a wire now when you drive and sometimes stays on. 4Low flashes sometimes and once the 4wd light came on. Also decided to put itself in 4Low once at startup and had to fight like heck to get it out. All the time it said it was in 2WD

I had/have part of the issue you have on my 06. My intake temp reading on the overhead was reading 66F when the outside temps were in the 90's the other day. No other issues or codes so I did not look into it too much.

The 06 is not in your signature, what mods do you have on it?

Unhooking the battery for a few minutes fixed the temp display but the 4wd is messed up. Had to drive a chev to work today I added the 06 to my sig, not much for mods, just the edge

It turned out to be a dirty connection on the transfer case shift motor
