48RE Strength

How much power over stock do you think the tranny will hold up? Is it going be like all newer Dodge autos;Junk? Should I just go with the 6spd/HO, or take the chance on the 48RE/HO [undecided]

Re:48RE Strength

There was some discussion on the improvements made by
DC on the 48RE,(on DTR) the part of the discussion that concerns me is the comment that DC built the tranny to go atleast a 150k mi.
I think that if I'm going to invest 40k or more in a truck,
whitch as we has a 1/2 millon mi. ;D engine it. I want a tranny that go the distance. ???
The ramguy

Re:48RE Strength

Thats what I would be expecting. Oh well, I can always hotrod it and burn up the tranny doing brake stands and get it rebuilt at 90k ;D...Now back to reality, I'll prolly get the sixer and not worry about any strength issues
