48re rebuild parts

I'm going to rebuild my 2004.5 48re, right now the truck is stock with 160,000 miles, trans still works but getting to where i notice slippage and sometimes when you come to a stop it doesn't downshift back into 1st. After rebuild I would like to get the motor to around 5-600 hp, so would like to build it to handle that much without going overboard. Looking at all the company's selling transmission parts and would like any input on a company's parts you have used and we're happy with/or not. I plan on doing the work myself and mainly interested in what parts are the best for the money, and giving my money to someone with good customer service if i have any questions. I have been checking prices online and there seems to be price differences of hundreds of dollars so it gets confusing. Any inside would be greatly appreciated.

Well I will opine that there is limited ability for the homebuilder to build that great transmission holding 600 hp. Valvebody mods, TC, extra clutches installed, billet parts and etc that are necessary for this kind of build preclude what you can do at home.

That said, check out Goerend transmissions website for some more info.
