48RE delayed shift after sitting

If my 03 sits for a week or 2 in the garage it takes a bit before it will move - never tried putting it in neutral and idling before reverse.

It works. By putting it in anything other then Park the trans will pump fluid and within 5-15 seconds will fill everything. However, that's not proper function either. The dealer says there's something wrong with it also. It's now happening after just short sits as little as a few hours. It takes around 10 seconds for it to go, and then it's not quite right for the 10 after that. They've ordered parts, but they're on national back order for months now. Wonder why that would be?
