I got exactly 6 out from the gear & 2 from the Transfer Case.
With a new TCI (deeper) pan, it took 7 to get the level to the "min" mark.
I did not drain the convertor- just pulled the pan.
Less than 14k miles and the trans oil looked okay. There was a slight bit of sludge on the magnet..no chunks or anything to fear. The yellow paper element in the filter just had a slightest tinge of gray, but even touching wouldnt produce any signs of debris. The filter screws are T25.
Coulda done the trans job for 44$..but the pan & xtra oil qt took it to 178$.
New TCI pan looks nice, went on well. It did come with a new gasket & longer allenhead SS screws. I used antisieze, but I may replace them with steel, as SS in aluminum scares me. Summit sent the pan Sat delivery & didnt charge me for it. Nice.
The transfer case oil was really dark. Pretty much black. No sign of debris, but I am darn glad I did it now. It did take 2.5qts to bring it to the fill plug..on level ground.
Pulling the skid plate off sure helps, only 4 bolts & saves hassle.
Hope this helps-
