4.10's ONLY on duallys?
4.10's ONLY on duallys?
I go to Dodge's build page and they won't let me enter 3.73's with the 6 speed manual tranny.
What's up with that!?
Out here with 75mph speed limits I DON'T want the 4.10's.
Also, you can't get the Green or the Graphite colors on the duallys??
Sheeese, think I'll look at some Duramaxes...DC is getting pretty controlling.
Thanks for the vent!

No off road pkg.
It appears that if you build a 3500 dually Cummins 6 speed, you can ONLY get 4.10 ratio gears.
Called dealer to confirm
they can't answer on the phone, but "come on in and we'll sell you something"
NOT!

FWIW, I've also had issues with the "build a dodge" thing on Dodge's web site. It seems that the 4.10 gear is required for the Hemi, but not the cummins.
Try www.costcoauto.com or www.carsdirect.com. They've been more accurate for me.

www.kbb.com works well. It seems edmunds.com will let you build it anyway you want whether the factory will do it or not.
If your planning on towing anything of substantial weight, anything faster than the 3.73's is just too fast. My 02' had 3.54's in it and we swapped em out for 4.10's. It just wouldn't pull the big trailer with a load on it eficiently. For the average puller, 3.73's are a good gear with the cummins. For the heavy hauler such as I, 4.10's become required if you are pullin often.
