I was wondering where on the truck you find out what gears you have. Does anyone know where can can find this info.

Go by a dealership with the VIN# and have the parts department pull a build sheet on your truck. That is what i did way back when.

There should be a white production label stuck to the underside of the hood that has the trucks options on it, or on the inside of the glovebox like mentioned.

i'd try the dealer then with your vin# or if you bought the truck new look at the window sticker

Is your truck a manual? If so, the G-56 only came in 3.73s.

Did you look on or around the diff cover?? Or if you want jack your rear up and rotate the driveshaft and count how many times you turn the shaft till the tire does a complete rotation

i'll check tomorrow when i am driving to see how fast the engine is running at like 60 mph i think it is just shy of 2k rpms

70 MPH is right about 2000 RPM with stock tires if its a 3.73.

At 60 w/ 4.10's it's at right about 1800 rpm and at 70 it's at about 2150 rpm. 3.73's will never have you past 2k rpm before 70.
