I recently got a 04.5 with a 6 speed. when I down shift (let off throttle) it idols down to 500-600 rpm. is that normal for this pickup? my old pickup did not do this.
I new to the net, you guys are great! I have learnded so much. thanks a bunch

how long is it takin you to shift? I mean you are going to drop a little as soon as you push in the clutch but it shouldnt drop that far! Let me know if I am on track or shoot a few more details.

 

not long between shift. i have tryed differint things. but on average when i down shift, i push in on the clutch at about 900 to 1200rpm. i have drove a little bit of big truck driving and alot manual pickups diesel and gas never came across this be for. some times it will idle as low as 400rpm then up to 800rpm.
there is going to be some rpm wiggle with manual trans, but this seems like alot. am i crazy
