34k and checked u-joints for warranty
So I went ahead and checked all u-joints, and ball joints just in case I need some warranty work before it expires.
I found no play in my ball joints. My front axle u-joints have some dark crud around the seal area, being that they all have this I'm guessing that they are O.K. (I'll get a picture up in awhile.
My driveline-front drive shaft seems solid, same crud on the u-joints around the seals. The rear drive shaft was solid as-well, however what was of concern is the output shaft (I'm guessing as to what this shaft is called so correct me if I'm wrong) Its the shaft that connects the tranny/rear drive shaft. This shaft moves when I push upward, and makes a slight clunking noise when it tops out. I see flex in the tranny case (mounting points) which looks like its design intends for this. Is the movement of the output shaft normal? (no signs of any leaking out of the seal)
Pics are coming.
