I was wondering if the 3250 is very noisy. Im going to be just driving it on the street basicly as a toy.

All double disk are noisy in comparison to stock. How noisy depends on what tranny,NV or G56.The G56 is will more noisy than the NV.Having a fluidampnr will help quieten it up some. Not knowing what you have done to your(no sig)truck I have to ask if you really need this much clutch. My con ofe is holding(barely)everything in my sig and feels almost like stock with no noise.

I was going to run a smarty tuner. I have been told that a single disc won't last long.

I agree,go bigger and have room to grow.I'm going to a DD as soon as I get the money. If a Smarty is gonna be the limits of your mods and noise is a concern the con ofe would be an excellent choice.

It's not very noticeable over the straght-piped exhaust...

Seriously, it's not that bad. After all, it's a diesel, right?

You will get a rattle out of it, for some reason the G-56s are just louder than the NV5600s. My first 3600 DD was loud enough where people thought something was seriously wrong with the truck, the 3250 I have on now is alot quieter, though you can still hear the rattle. Both were sprung hubs, don't know what was up with the 3600, but happy with the 3250 (at least was happy with it until I see the price I could have gotten it for now). What a difference a year makes....
