Hey guys i got a quick question here...Please tell me that you can get 3.73 in a 06 2500 CTD The dealer is trying to tell me that i can only get 4.10's

 

go to the dodge site and build the truck you would like and it will tell you. I am 99% sure you can get the 3.73

 

im 100% sure because i have them in my truck..if your getting an auto that is...6speed..nope only 3:73s

 

06cummins...i wonder why the dealer tried telling me that i can only get 4.10's Its 3/4 ton diesel 4 speed auto i thought you could get 3.73 am i correct on that

 

I'm driving an '06, 48re auto with a 3.73. The dealer is full of it.

 

I was on the dodge site a little while ago the 3:73 are standard and the 4:10 is a option for a extra 50.00 dollars Something else I saw not to steal your thread but I am pricing out a 06 megacab shortbed 3500 there is a option for duel rear wheels in the ST model they are $535 in the SLT they are $1235 and in the larime they are $535 I called them about it and they said it must be the SLT option I told them then why would it be in a lower model ST for 535 and a higher option Larime for 535 (THEY HAD NO IDEA AND TOLD ME TO CONTACT A DEALER) so it seems that no one contact (dealer or dodge) can give you all the right information.

3.73 is standard...4.10 is by order/option only

just like they said your dealer is full of bull nanny....

my 06 2500 CTD 4x4 SWB came standard with auto tranny and 3.73 rear end. Mine has the Thunder Road package which adds tow hooks, alloy wheels, tow package, etc...

Congrats on your truck......do they put the Bighorn emblem on your truck...cuz the Thunder Road is not put on the trucks or at least ones here in Charleston. LOL

 

I'm not sure if they put it on...i won't know until march sometime. But i will put a post on here telling everything when i get it

 

yeah, they put the emblem on. I live fairly close to him and my dealer has about 200 new trucks on the lot and probaly 120 of them are CTD...they have many Big Horn Editions.

 

They was just trying to sell you what they had as most people don't even know what gear ratio is. A good friend of mine bought one and did they tell him what gear ratio he would like ( NO ) he got 4:10's and hates the HWY!
