I did exactly as they did and it worked perfect, even have smarty#6 loaded with no issues, not going to piggyback with DR.P any moor just in case. Its been a long road for me but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel cheers

Where's the skim fuse? is it in the reguar fuse box or inline some place? i don't remember seeing it. I'm happy for you, but i don't think i'm going to be that lucky

yes it is in the regular fuse box under the hood on drivers side, flip the cover over and it will tell you which 1 is for the skim, its either a 10 or 7.5 cant remember off hand. hope all works out for you, my nightmare lasted 3 months and alotta $$$$$$$$

The mechaNIC i FINALLY WENT TO TURNED OUT TO BE A REAL GEM. HE FOUND WIRES SHORTED OUT AND THE WRONG CONNECTOR ON THE PCM. HE STRAIGHTENED EVERYTHING OUT AND ITS RUNNING FINE NO NEW PCM HE SAID I PROBABLY TOUCHED ONE OF THE WIRES THAT WERE BARE WHEN I CHANGED THE CABLES AND CAUSED IT TO GO INTO LIMP MODE. HE ALSO SAID THAT WHEN THEY TOOK THE CHIP OUT THEY MUST HAVE PUT IBN A CONNECTOR FROM A GAS ENGINE THAT'S WHY I HAD EXTRA WIRES ON THE CONNECTOR NOT USED. HE REWIRED EVERYTHING AND IT RUNS GREAT.
HOPE YOU HAVE SIMILAR LUCK WITH YOURS.
BY THE WAY, HE ALSO TOLD ME NOT TO USE THE AIR RAID BREATHER I HAVE. HE SEEMS PRETTY SHARP AND HE TOLD ME, IT LETS FINE DIRT IN THE ENGINE AND STARVES THE ENGINE WHEN IT GET DIRTY. HE SAYS I SHOULD GO BACK TO STOCK OTHERWISE IT'LL RUIN THE ENGINE. ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS.
ALSO IT ONLY COST 2 HOURS LABOR @$130.00. IT SURE IS NICE TO HAVE MY TRUCK BACK
