200k mile report
Hi all,
Once again I have passed a major milestone with my 2003 Dodge. It is now time for its 200,000 mile Report.
Ordered in October, 2002, received December 2002;
Actual miles: 211k as of 4/2015.
Tires: Now on my fifth set, current tire is Cooper AT3 285/70-17 on original rims.
Replaced parts: Water pump (2); Fan belt idler (1); fan belt (1) Drive shaft U-joints (1); Front axle U-joints (4!); Power window controller (1); Front brakes (2); Rear brakes (1); Ball joints (1); Shock absorbers (3).
I have changed the oil, oil filter, and fuel filter every 10k miles. Have used Valvoline Extreme Blue synthetic since it had 20K miles. We took the truck on a five week road trip to Alaska and NWT last fall. It needed an alignment when we got home thanks to the Dempster highway. As a precaution, I had changed the original canister mounted fuel pump before we left on the trip.
The truck is still a pleasure to drive and, believe it or not, we averaged slightly over 20 mpg on the Alaskan road trip. I originally had my heart set one of the just introduced 6.0 Fords but it was not available when I ordered my Dodge. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. I'll report back at 300k. Maybe I will have had to change my clutch by then . . . or maybe not.

Very encouraging to see, as I have my 04 since 5/20/2004 and pretty much have done the routine things as well, but i'm 100k short of you
.Thanks for the feedback!
