2007 mega cab 6.7 4x4 lar edition with exhaust brake completely stock. Will be towing a 40 racecar trailer probably 11K or so loaded. Looking to what upgrades you guys might recommend. To this point I have been a hook the trailer to the truck and go (smaller trailer). Here are some things I have been told.

EFI Live programmer
EGR & DPF delete
FS2500 oil treatment
Gauges - Exhaust Temp, Boost pressure

Also having a turbo issuse with the variable actuator sticking. Is there a recall on the turbo or a way to clean it?

There really isn't anything you need to do. Bu there are a couple of things you might want to do:

- Gauges. I like gauges. I like knowing what's going on. If engine or trans temps start to rise, you can take corrective action.

- Transmission cooler upgrade. Maybe. If a good portion of your towing is going to be through the rockies, or the desert, then you might consider an additional cooler. Just so you don't have to mess with it later.

- You don't need a programmer. I like using the Smarty Jr. I like the way the truck responds. But you don't really need it.

Other than that, just make sure everything is in good shape, and do the maintenance according to the proper schedule.
