2007 5.9 Clutch replacement
Ok I am replacing the clutch in my 07 5.9 6 speed. I ordered a new centerforce dual friction clutch and now that my truck is on the rack with the transfer case and transmission out, the clutch they sent me is a half inch too big all the way around?
Has anyone had the same problem with centerforce? I called them and they swear up and down that the part numbers match and its for my truck but in their catalog and on the website there is no application for an 2007 only up to 2006. I guess what i am looking for is a good idea of what i should go with for a clutch that will handle around 700 HP and 1000 lb-ft of torque that will handle heavy trailers and the weekends at the track. Also did the flywheel size or clutch size really change that much from an '06 to an '07?

Did you get a solid flywheel too? Timinva did my install and I really can't tell you if the South Bend clutch was bigger than the stock one or not. I would go South Bend if it was me. At that power level you will likely need a double disc clutch too because at 700hp you will be closer to 12-1300tq.....
Send that crap back, call Peter @ South Bend Clutch. They have the best customer service, knowledge, parts you could ask for. http://southbendclutch.com/
BTW I used a centerforce clutch once before in street car, never even considered there stuff again.
