Angry 2006 excessive cranking + frontend problems

I have 45,000 on my 06 and I know there was a TSB on the excessive cranking to start. I have taken it in 2 times to get it flashed and fixed. It still has excessive cranking at times. Is that normal and as good as it gets? Also so far I have had to change the pitman arm and a tie rod. I should have kept my 96' dodge cummins. I admit I am hard on the truck and drive a lot on dirt roads because my job requires it, however when you spend that kind of money you would hope to get some miles on it before everything goes haywire.

when was the last time it was flashed??
they came out with a new flash in Oct and it fixed my hard start for good I have not had it since.
if you have not been re-flashed after Oct then take it in.

and like said above keep your fuel filter changed.

That may be it. I had it last reflashed last summer, so maybe I will try it again. I change the fuel filter (fleetguard) every time I change the oil 5000 miles.

I got the updated flash and that has seemed to fix it. I am over mileage (45,000) so I had to pay for it. You would think that dodge would pay for that since the other flashes did not fix it

Still on stock fuel filter eh! Common rail is mucho different than second gen injectors. Need finer filtration and get rid of the stock lift pump. Big difference is in the electronics, so I agree that a ecm flash does and will help in firing up the motor.
