my buddy has an 06 4x4 quad cab, and the thing will vibrate pretty bad when driving from 50 to 60 anyone else had this problem i imagine it is either tc or u joints correct his truck only has 54000 would it still be under warranty? thanks

 

no one knows? could the flywheel be bent?

 

If it has the original u joints replace them all.
Then maybe wheel bearings, carrier bearing check shocks for leaks and of course he already made sure the tires were properly inflated, balanced and rotated regularly...

 

It is likely the rear driveshaft u-joints. Just went through this very thing with mine at 72,000 miles. The rear joint was hosed.

 

As far as the warranty is concerned, unless he bought an extended warranty, the '06 only had the 3/36,000 warranty (at least mine did).

 

Yeah same thing with my 2006. My front U joint is cracked says the dealer. They want 630 to do the front and rear on the drive shaft. That seems crazy since the parts are like $60-$70 total.

 

could be injector/s? i had a injector do that for a month before it stuck open while i was passing someone and that cylinder got hot and melted #1 piston and valve
