Hi, I have a 2005 DRW with 76k miles on it. The rear is original with LS and 4.10 ratio. Can you guys who are more knowledgeable with 3rd gens (I am more into 1st gens) chime in and let me know what year ranges are the same as my 2005? And what are the going rates for complete rears? Mine is in good shape, I just like to keep an eye out for spare parts when I see them. Also what transfer case do I have? Its a manual shifting transfer case truck. Not to stupid button version. Thanks

For a 2005 lookup, I show hits from 03-08. There may be fitment beyond that if you change/alter something, but its beyond the scope of this online lookup. The actual wrecking yards' catalog will typically list other non-exact fitments.

The manual t-case is a sought-after item (NV271D). Most of these trucks are pushbutton t-case. (NV273D)

CL and other local ads will be cheaper than commercial wreckers.

.I was asking as there was a 2009 11.5 dually rear near me on craigslist that has already sold. Now I have a good idea on what years I should be looking for and what T-case to keep an eye out for. What years did Ram run the NV271D?

 

My impression is it started for the 3rdgens ('03+) along with the pushbutton NV273D. Not sure beyond that.
