2005 Dodge Ram 3500 sluggish acceleration.

okay guys I’m about to set this truck on fire, it’s got 240,000 miles on it right now. Smarty jr hooked up to it. Guy I bought it from swapped it over to a 6 speed manual I’m guessing he left the computer from the auto on it just because it throws about 8 codes for transmission. MAIN PROBLEM- truck has no power, feels like it’s sometimes governed out at 2k rpms 60 miles per hour this is with my foot to the floor. I had semi trucks passing me.. Going to a stop to turn throw it in neutral and it randomly dies on me. Go to start it back up and it won’t start until I clear all the codes one again or wait 20 minutes. BUT other times I’ve drove it 2 hours no problem. If anyone has any comments please feel free to post. Extreme desiel is like a hour away and I don’t trust it to make it there to have them flash the computer. The smarty is on around catcher 5 90 hp i believe.

Check voltage on apps. 5.8-6.2 at idle iirc. A factory manual trans reflash would be good. Can you give us more detail? Sound? Smoke? Anything helps...

It almost sounds like the computer is expecting a signal and not getting it. Maybe check wire harnesses to see If the swap was performed correctly or if anything was damaged during the swap. Why did he want to sell it to you?

Everything sounds good on the truck. It’s might throw a little black smoke if you get on it pretty good but not a lot. So check the circuits on what? Diesel performance said they might be able to flash the computer. I’ve changed most of the sensors on the truck on the codes it’s bringing up but they are still there. Here’s a codes list.-P

he said he didn’t have the time or money to throw at it. Yeah it needs new tires and some front end parts. But I drove it 2 hours just fine when I bought it. He said a battery may be bad on it so I changed both battery’s boost sensor and the sensor on the rearend.

I was just wondering if the accelerometer pedal position switch was checked or changed. I'll look up those codes when I get back to the shop...
