2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel strange noise

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. 82k miles. Bought it new. All stock but a Powerpuck. It has been making a little noise under power while pulling my trailer. Not sure what but just a little extra ping almost. Yesterday while driving with the trailer again it started to make a squeal almost like a belt but it is not. Still only under boost and pulling a hill type. Anyone have any ideas what could be going on or where to start?

Sounds like a turbo boost hose could be leaking. Check all clamps and hoses for leakage. Could also be leaking exhaust manifold gastkets. Check bolts on exhaust manifold for proper torque. Make sure no bolts have come loose on exhaust manifold. Check turbo bolts and clamp, look for any black soot around turbo or manifold where it attaches to cylinder head. Good Luck

Checked all of the intake bolts, clamps and wexhaust manifold bolts. All were good. I unhooked the powerpuck and am going to try that. I think I might have a bad injector but going to try this first.

Check to see if your intercooler is cracked or leaking. Some of the early 05' models had plastic ones that were prone to cracking.
