2004 lost the tranny??

Went to my hunting cabin this weekend and parked my 2004 dodge (auto 48 re tranny, with goerends TC&VB)when I came back out to move it no forward gears just reverse worked. The tranny fluid is fine, truck made no clunking sounds before this happened.I have around 74,000 miles on the OD and truck has been maintained to the hilt. Its headed to the shop for repairAnyone have clues to what happened??Thanks, coobie

Yeap, heard of the direct drive clutches having issues sometimes. With your TC and VB you should be fine and only need to rebuild what is wrong, along with cleaning the VB and a new filter.
