2004 dodge 2500 ctd won't hit a lick
I have a 2004 dodge 2500 ctd St 6 speed 150000 miles, only problem I've ever had was a small fuel leak at the very rear cylinder. Tightened it up, no more problems. Till 2 weeks ago. Got to cutting back flinching wouldn't take fuel past 1500 rpm. Discovers I had quite a bit of black gunk in the filter. So I had my local jackleg tire shop / mechanic pull fuel tank. Cleaned the screen on pickup assembly. Put it all back together. Then they tried to crank it without priming the filer housing.😰😥😭😂. The truck cranked but it wouldn't run right duh. Then I barely got it home after it cut off 20 times. Fortunately I live close to their shop. Now I have tried bleeding the system. Starting at the filter housing I've moved up the line to the high pressure pump. And then onto the rail. Now it won't fire even though I can hear the electric pump kicking on and of. It acts like the shutoff isn't releasing so the fuel can run through. I am sure I've screwed something up big time just don't know what it could be. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.
Sure everything was put back together???
Where was the lift pump??? Underneath the fuel filter canister or inside the tank???
Try to start with fca unplugged.
Try to verify lift pump operation with a fuel pressure gauge at cp3 fuel inlet or try to measure the volume of fuel delivered to the canister.
