2004.5 Cold Fuel Issues

So my truck and I transplanted from Alabama to Colorado Rockies and my truck is mad. So far it has blown a steer cylinder and a water pump. Now it doesn't like cold fuel. After I found out the hard way about gelling in -20 degrees I started running Schaffers Winter Blend on every fill up. That helped but this morning it was 5 degrees and acted like the lift pump was going tango uniform when I was going uphill. Couldn't run over 1k RPMs without loosing rail pressure (on the Edge). No codes. Thermostat had not opened yet. I stopped, shut it down and opened the canister drain and nothing. Cranked it up and ran it a few minutes, i shut it off and opened the drain again. Got fuel this time and it seemed to do better climbing up to the top of the mountain. The outside temp got all the way up to 27 degrees when i left my jobsite and it ran fine. I ran to town and got some 911 to see if that would help.

I'm thinking ice in the canister, fuel heater inop. Bone stock truck, pump mounted on canister. LP is one year old.

Any other ideas?
