2003 needs injectors

I have a 2003 wouldnt start after sitting took to the dealer. They replaced #5 injector it was better but started doing the samething took it back they say #2 is bad and #1 is close to leaking too much. question is the dealer wants 562.00 a piece and 2.5 hrs. a piece to change. Thinking I should just do all of them but wondering if there is a cheaper route and if this sounds about right price wise. I can get them fom oregon fuel injection for 342.00 but the dealer says they arent as good. what I would expect them to say. Any suggestions appreciated.

I had mine go out too. Dealer wanted $5400.00 for a factory set 1 yr warranty with unlimited milage. Did some phone work and got a new set of sticks from Thoroughbred diesel for half the price delivered to my door in Alberta with 3 yr warranty with unlimited milage and +50hp to boot . Biggest mistake I made was letting the dealer install them. They didn't check valve adjustment when they were done nor did they change the adapter tubes that go from lines through the head to the injectors . Had trouble when first put in with smokeing at idle but it was not the new sticks it was a sticking FCA that the dealer could not find and kept saying it was aftermarket sticks "they flow all that extra fuel and it just can't burn it at idle "

How many miles did you have when your injectors went south?

I had 198,600 Km. I had taken it in while under warrenty complaining about heavy "rattleing" when cold and was told it was normal blah blah blah. But its amazing how they seem to find problems easyer when its off warrenty

I had mine pulled out and then I shipped them to formula one diesel (Don M). He rebuilt my injectors and put new tips on.Very pleased with them.

So how much is it for a rebuild? Any chance of adding HP with the rebuild?

I just went through this same situation. I took my injectors out and sent them here and had them honed out 90 Hp more and it cost me 325.00 that is with next day shipping both ways. They are awesome.
