2003 CTD Voltage Regulation Adjustment

I've been searching around the net for an answer to this question:
Is it possible/advisable to increase the voltage output of the regulator? What I'm doing is adding a radio amplifier to my ham equipment, and it really requires 14v to operate properly. Right now, I'm getting about 13.6 at the battery.
