Help!! My truck developed a hard starting problem that got worse. 214,000 miles. The first dealer , in Louisiana, said it was a contaminated fuel problem so they removed the fuel tank - flushed, replaced pump and filter. $1150 Truck started about ten times and then would not start. Took it back to the dealer and the estimate was $4800 to $7900 "may need new injectors, injector pump, etc..." can't afford to fund a fishing expedition so I took it back to the dealer I bought it from when new in Kentucky. They replaced: connector injector, actuator, #2 injector - $1606.58. Truck started 20 +/- times - won't start. Runs and drives great - IT JUST WON"T START!

 

Dude, I hate to sound like I am kicking you while you are down, but it sounds like your dealer stuck it to you. Did they use their starscan on it? The 03 models are known for injector problems and weak/bad lift pumps. I am assuming you have either a aftermarket lp or a in-tank replacement by now. I think that if I just spent 1600 I would be back at the dealer asking for a refund or a fix to the problem. You could have had all your injectors sent to F1 and repaired and upgraded for what you spent on replacing one. Sorry and I hope you get it figured out.

 

I agree. I had mine send to F1. I had flux 1 nozzles put on along with repairs to 2 injectors for under $1400. Goodluck man
