So I've got a dead electrical fan clutch. Ordered a replacement from Autozone and it shows up without the electrical controls. They look up an 04 and it shows the electrical one, but none for a 2003. Ebay shows a "special" one for a 2003 MY and claims an 04 won't fit.

Will a 2004+ clutch fit my 2003?

I just installed a 2003 HO fan and electric clutch onto my 2004 CALI SO.But I haven't started the truck yet. Should fire it up this Friday.But I have a early 2004 truck.

 

Sounds like they sold you one for a 2002 or earlier truck. Those will have the smaller nut that spins onto the hub. Also, fan was a smaller diameter on the 2nd gen trucks. Which one do you have?

Same # for both 03 and 04 305/555. Call a dealer with your vin number and they should be able to tell you which part # you need. I had to. unless you already know.
