180000 km Service?? 2007 5.9L 3500
Hi all,
I just bought a 2007 3500 with the old 5.9 and I don't think the previous owner followed the service schedule too closely after he bought it at 140000kms. I know the front end has been done (by the dealer in between owners). As I am new to diesel world, what sort of basic/routine servicing would you recommend to get out of the gates with this truck in a reliable manner. I appreciate any advice you can give. thx

Glad to have you on here. I hope you will like your truck! If you will take good care of it it will take care of you. I would change the oil and oil filter and fuel filter at 6.000 miles and if you want send it to a lab to have it checked. I send my oil sample to www.blackstone-labs.com You can get on there web site and check them out. They will send you sample bottles to send your sample in to them ask for the TBN on your oil also.It will cost a little more but will tell you about your oil. I would not put a chip or any power box if you are going to keep it a longer time. == GOOD LUCK ==
