1 Piece Drive Shaft, NV5600 2WD

Has anyone successfully installed a one piece drive shaft on a SWB 2WD with the NV5600?

My drive shaft is humming now and would like to get away from the 2 piece setup.

I haven't heard of anyone.

While my driveshaft and U-joints are fine, I had talked to Rich at Doghouse Diesel, given him my measurements and that was going to be my plan for a 1 piece really HD aluminum driveshaft but Doghouse Diesel is no longer in business.

It's a long driveshaft, longer than a 4x4 long box crewcab, but definitely do able by a local drivetrain shop.

Did they mentioned if the carrier bearing crossmember would need to be removed for the one piece shaft?

No they did not because no one had ever asked them about a 2wd QC shortbox 1 piece alumininum driveshaft!

On my truck, the holder for the driveshaft carrier bearing bolts to the crossmember. No need to touch the crossmember at all, lots of clearance.
