my 07 5.9 is missing and smoking cold only and smells like fuel at the exhuast , once it runs for an minute or two it clears up a runs great , no codes and it has 100,000 on it, should i try to run a fuel treatment thru it?

 

You could incase an injector is acting funny but likely you have a or all injectors on their way out. Unless you have some bad fuel or it Gelling. Fill out a sig of any mods an share your region or state. ULSD is not good fuel IMHO.

 

i live in san diego ca the truck is stock, inj ? thats not good

 

You could try a Qt of Power Service and hook to a loaded 4-8K trailer and drive it for a few hours non stop to help clean them up and see if that helps and if not its $$$ time.

New Bosch injectors are around $350 a piece.

 

just added a lot of additive and seems to be really helping added 100 gallons werth and drove the @#$@ out of it and last two cold starts no miss and very very little smoke.
