Ok i've never had the pleasure of having a vehicle with a warranty, but the girlfriend just got an 06 Mega Cab, 6 speed, inferno red with a ton of options...now this is where i come in..hehehehe... what the hell can i do to this thing and NOT void the warranty, i've heard BHAK, exhaust, but then i've heard its up to the *******...i mean dealer? and what kind of mileage do these things get with 1000 miles on it...took it on a 200 mile trip with an empty horse trailer and got 8.5!!!! running 75 with a massive head wind...comin back with a horse, running 65ish...got 13.9....is this normal... my 99 gets17-19 all day long with the same trailer??? ok i guess thats it for now...i have a bunch more ?'s but i'll start with that...thanks for any info

It all depends on the dealer. Most will let you get with new exhaust. Some will give you hell over guages or air filter. Take it for an oil change and corner the service manager while you're waiting. Some dealerships will overlook some mods as long as you pay them to install them..

Yah some dealers will over look simple things but the problem comes when your on the road away from that dealer and need repairs, is the next dealership going to look the other way?

Running that hard with a trailer against a head wind like you describe is going to eat fuel like crazy. The mileage might be a little low but close.

17-19 MPG pulling a horse trailer running 75 against a strong head wind with a 1999????? In your dreams!!

Not going to argue, if you say you get 17 MPG pulling a horse trailer at 65 MPH with a 1999 4X4.
