06 Temperatures; Need Feedback

Just got thru doing a lot of work on the 06. I will list below. Two issues I'm still having are as follows; #1 Throwing a constant P0541, #2 Still running what I think are too high of temperatures on both the tranny and coolant. BEFORE completing all work below myself. I was running coolant temps as follows: Running empty @ 75mph, ambient temp @ 90-95, coolant temp = 202-210. Running empty @ 60mph, ambient temp @ 90-95, coolant temp = 195-200. Idling or slow traffic, ambient temp @ 90-95, coolant temp = 185-190. Towing 15k @ 70mph same ambient temp, coolant temp 210-218, a bit cooler as above at lower speeds. Tranny temps remain a consistent 10 degree lower than coolant in all above scenarios. Edge CTS is set at #3 drive mode when empty and #2 when towing. I also set the Edge back to stock but this did not effect temps at all. AFTER all work below, temps on both coolant and tranny have been almost unchanged. Only within 2-3 degree decrease tops in all scenarios. Now for complete work:
New Parts:
Radiator, Water Pump, 180 thermostat, Serpentine, hoses, fan clutch, both inner and outer fan shrouds
AC condenser, compressor, dryer, all hard and soft lines in engine bay
Power Steering Pump, all lines from Booster-Pump-Box, Remote Filter add
Intercooler Tubes
Front Main Seal
Rear Hub Seal
Fluid Changes:
Coolant, Engine, Power Steer, Brake, Tranny, Transfer, Diff, Freon
Cleaned and inspected:
Tranny Cooler, Oil Cooler, Intercooler

New Jasper 48RE heavy duty installed 30k/6months ago

Basically all parts change out were original equipment with 380K so decision was made to make the investment in this truck to keep in in the rotation for another 250k. My questions are: #1 Did I miss something that would effect the temperatures? #2 Is this normal with these miles? As this truck has gotten older the temperatures seem to me as they have climbed a bit. Also all coolant that was drained from the system looked as good as the new going in. This truck sees very good maintenance intervals so any buildup within the motor should be very minimal. Other than temps, truck runs very strong.

All help and feedback is much appreciated.

Temps seem pretty normal to me. Was there a change from 05 to 06 with the thermostat? I know my 05 was stock with a 190 and itll run 190-195 all day no matter the speed till i load it down then she likes to run up around 205ish. To small of a thermostat will also make it run a bit warmer, not enough time to cool down in the radiator. I have a manual so I cant say if the auto will run warmer or not.

saggonwaggon91, thanks for the feedback. One thing I did not mention - I replaced the OEM 190 with a 180 hoping that would be a positive change. Possibly not? Easy fix to install another 190 and try.

That would be the first thing I would do. When I first got my current truck it would run the same as you describe yours doing. Pulled the thermostat and the rubber seal was shot not letting it close all the way. New thermostat and the only time I see over 200 is pulling heavy with my foot in it..

I assume you're using the Insight Monitor to measure your temps? I don't really pay attention that much to temps when not towing. I have the Edge monitor only (no programming) and my bone stock 85k mile truck behaves as follows when towing my 12600 lb fifth wheel:

ECT: While On the flats, it runs 180s to 190s. Climbing a medium grade, coolant temps will creep above 200 as much as 210 or so. On a steep grade (6%), it will get to the set point for the engine fan (which for my truck appears to be 217). Once the fan comes on, it never moves above that. It's hard to miss when the fan comes on as it sounds like a helicopter is landing on top of the truck.

TFT: On the flats, it runs about 100 over ambient which this summer was in the 190s to 200ish. On medium grades it raises to 200-210ish and on steep grades can creep into the 220s. I believe the sensor for trans temp is in the valve body and probably doesn't reflect the fluid temp in the pan or return line.

Thanks NJMurvin!

It appears mine is inline with yours. The 3rd gen seems to run about 15-20 degrees higher than the 2nd gen in the say environment.

When I replaced the oem 190 with a 180 the mileage seemed to take a hit, so I'm now running the 190.
