06 rear disk brakes
06 rear disc brakes
This is probably old news to you guys. I thought I'd post it up to some who maybe don't know. I thought it was a little odd.
I replaced my original brake pads on front and back yesterday, ~121k miles. The rear axle/leaf springs positional relationship is not the same for the left to right sides. I got the top caliper bolt out on the drivers side without a problem, but the passenger side bolt path was blocked by the overload spring. I had to take the caliper holder bolts off of the axle to allow the holder to be moved lower to allow the caliper bolt to be slid out. I looked briefly for others' past experiences before I started the brake job and didn't see anything mentioning this. No biggie to get around, just odd. Didn't see anthing different about the truck, or the way it was sitting to cause it.
