The link is for Recreational vehicles, I can't find the Dodge Cummins version and my truck is in the shop so I don't have access to the manual.
It would be TRULY helpful if you took the time to give everyone the Cummins part numbers for all 6 of the isolators and lines. There are probably many here who would consider getting them and having them for roadside convenience.
Also, if they ARE dramatically different, meaning better quality part, it might serve to just change them out at a certain mileage when they seem to fail the most - prevention sometimes is the better action taken.
CD
Probably NOT specific to 2006 trucks, but may be specific to the #4, #5 and #6 lines, as those have been problems for many with trucks 2004.5 and up over the past couple of years.
I have yet to check out Cummins' website to see if these can be ordered online, I am not certain where a Cummins dealer is here in New Mexico. But I too will be looking into getting them and having spares. Too many desolate miles for very long distances here in New Mexico with really hot temps to be sitting waiting for a tow truck. Then, most dealerships here would be hard pressed to have anything in stock as they all seem to have to order everything you need.

CD New Mex - the isolator came with my #4 line. I assume it comes with all. I hope so. Each one has it's own part number, can't just order a whole set. I do not have the part #'s, but will be happy to put on here when they arrive. PM me and remind me if you don't see it within 3 weeks or so. As far as changing them out before they fail? Mine failed at 35K miles, I will just wait till they fail, or change the ones that have not failed @ 100K miles maybe. Not gonna be changing those things out every 35K.

CD in NM I just re-read your post and I agree. If they were dramatically different I would change them. I will ask the cummins people if they are now stainless. Doubt they are any better as Cody 459 said he is on his 3rd #4 line. Would be nice if they were improved though.
Hey Mods
I think this would good to place in a sticky thread since it seems to be a arising issue. A friend of mine just cracked his line this weekend on line 4, and guess what? Its an 06 also.

So, it's the first three hours of driving TO Albq that makes it difficult, eh Chris . . Maybe next time I am up to Albq I'll stop and see about getting the lines . . maybe I'll give them a call first to see if they have them in stock or can have them when I get there . . Do, me a favor Chris, look them up in the yellow for me and shoot me their phone number please.

If I am not mistaken, the 2006 does have a slightly higher factory rail pressure setting/computer controlled over the previous years ??? I think I did read that somewhere. Too many forums, too many posts read over the past few years, maybe I need a beer too - and I don't drink beer so that's a clear give-away of how overwhelmed my head is . . oh well, gotta find that bottle of Jack and go one better . .

It would serve a better purpose to change over to a new one and store the old one in the tool box for a possible breakdown don't ya think ???
My truck is only at 43K, LOTS of warranty left, but stuck alongside the road is not the time to play games getting to a dealership, and they will replace the fubar part under warranty if you take it to them. Plus, with all the recent game playing by dealerships since ownership changes, this little stuff is not worth hasstling with them over it. My time is worth just as much - no actually more, than their charges per hour or whatever the value is for their lip service and such.

CD n NM - Yes, I agree, IF they were better, to replace the originals with the new ones. But, like I said, I am not sure they are any better going on Cody 459's new one breaking also. I hope they are, because 5 and 6 replacement on side of road would be pretty tough. I will try, (and maybe someone else knows) to find out if they upgraded the metal composition of the quote "new" ones, as the one I got was a different color and was made in Japan also. Thanks
