06 Mega Cab fuel pump (lift or transfer??) replacement?

My uncles truck just lost both injection and he called it the transfer pump. my question is, is it the lift pump or trnasfer pump or both? where is it or they are located? and is there a kit to bypass like a fass system or what is the best option, with me knowing nothing of this system?, do the fass just mount outside the tank and suck straight out? etc.. kinda lost here.

Thanks in advance.

Good chance the LP is dead. Did the truck just stop running? Has he any gauges to read? The LP is going to be in the tank. He'll be better off installing an aftermarket unit such as an AirDog or a FASS (basically identical). If he's staying stock then a factory style LP would work just fine if he's willing to pull the bed when it goes out again.
