Unhappy 06 cold start TSB? and Recall!

Guys, I have a problem at start up. The truck seems to be running rough; like on 3 cylinders. I took it in for a reflash for white smoke long crank. (TSB 18-003-06) It still starts rough! After a few minutes it is fine and smooths out. What is up with my truck? HELP NEEDED!!! I almost forgot, there were two recalls on the truck (Module Anti-lock Brakes) (Rollover valve) HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

53 ******, thanks for the reply. I am taking mine back to see if it can be fixed. This really BUGS me. As long as it's warm outside, it starts right up with no rough idle. Around 60 or below BANG! ROUGH! There has got to be something we can do. I hope anyway. If any of you guy's on here can help, please do. You should know that I am a loner of the family; DAD works for GM and MOM works for FORD. I drive (DODGES). Ha Ha. Please help me keep that way!

It's happened to mine twice now, once a few months ago, early in the morning (cold @ about 5000km) and once today when I stopped to pick something up (@ 15000km), I parked and shut the truck off, ran into the shop and returned 5 minutes l8r, restarted the truck and it was missing for about 5 seconds,...it was warm (ambient temp was 23*C) so I don't think it's a cold start issue but it is a little concerning...

Ditto. I had myself convinced it was gone, then a few days after the re-flash, it did it again.
I'll tell you, I'm not sure if it's my imagination or not, bit it seems much more intermittent. Did it to me today, but that was the first time in about two weeks.

Never heard of the 3Cyl sound, I'd get that checked out though, doesn't sound healthy.

I had the exact same symptons and signs as you described. Turned out to be carbon build up on the injector tips. Solution was to run thru two tanks of a heavy dose (half bottle each) of Howe's Meaner Cleaner. It appears that the 3rd gens are easy to carbon up the tips when not worked hard (high temp). Also really important if you plan on keeping your rig past the warranty is to add a aftermarket lift pump and 2-3 micron filtration.

I've had the white smoke/rough idle for 30 seconds a couple times over 25k miles - I just think it was the load of fuel or something.

Thanx, I'll try the meaner cleaner....What's the issue with the lift pump? I know they changed it in 05...also can you elaborate on the filter (which one etc)....
