I need a little help from you 48re experts. My trans seems to shift real harsh at times (not all the time). When I am going slow it seems to "clunk" into gear when it shifts. Is there a way to stop this or it just common with the 48re. I like the firm shift when you are driving normal. But when I am going under 20 mph it seems to shift very hard when I let up on the peddle.

A steady pressure on the accelerator pedal will smooth out your shifts. I have been testing different aggressive starts and being easy. If you are wanting a smooth shift be gradual with the acc pedal. The more fuel you throw at her at once the firmer the shifts. BUT if you dead pedal her to get going the trans will shift quicker and firmer. Remember the trans will kinda get use to the way that you are driving and shift accordingly!
