05 won't start (cranks slowly)

Hey guys, went to start the truck last night (40 degrees out) and it wouldn't start. Gave the signs of weak battery ( cranked slowly then stopped ) I put a battery charger on it for about 12 hours. Went this morning and seems as nothing changed.

Is it simply still a battery issue? Or would there be anything else. I'm a noob when it comes to diesels.

When I get off work I'm gonna clean the posts and ends and try jumping it off my girls jeep. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Take the batteries out and have them tested. It could be the starter too, the bearings could be bad. Most likely it's the connections, good luck.

I ended up cleaning the terminals and cut some of the cable ends so it would clamp tighter. Fixed her right up! Guess it just wasn't making good connection.

Have the batteries load tested. Both of mine were about to go when mine started a little weak. But it could be your Johnson rods,,,LOL
