Hello I bought a 05 motor to replace the 03 that droped a valve use all the 03 electronics runs great but the 05 had a new torbo on it it has 4000 miles on it the 03 has 118000 is there a way to use the 05 turbo on the 03 the 05 has a electronic waste gate the 03 doesnt thanks for your input

Yes switch the compressor housing"aulminum side"with the old one,one snap ring to remove,plug up the hose and your done.Or do a boost fooler and forget the wastegate and drive on.

Asking for some imput on a problem I am having.
I was getting 36 psi of boost and now I get 23 max.
Checked out hosing, okay.
I will try disconnect on AJ system soon.
I am getting a code P02435 turbo overboost that remains on.
Could the w/gate on the turbo be sticking or what?

if i use a boost fooler dont i need to connect the plug thats for the factory side to something mine has no plug for the eletronics or just pug the boost fooler to the turbo and leave the other side blank thank

 

I wood switch the housing and plug it up as orginal.I recently went the other way using an 04 turbo and 05 housing as mine had an oil leak,the c ring is hard to get out without the proper pliers but Dad and I and a punch and visegrips and a couple of screwdrivers got it done.Reassembly is a Snap,there is a roll pin so the clocking ends up right.I can't give any futher info on the boost fooler as I've never used one on a 3 gen.
