So far I have been unable to get a strait answer from any one about this > One would think, If a guy is unloading $50,000 (cdn) on one of these trucks someone should at least be able to tell him EXACTLY how that truck is built.

Re:04 cummins without egr??

??? I have asked this same question before. The best reply I have recieved to date is that DC is penny pinching so much that there is no way they would put on the expensive emissions devices until it is mandatory. I just ordered an '04. My dealer was no more help than yours was. Heres hopin.<br>Jason

I wish there was a more firm answer out there. I'd be more pressed to make a move if the non egr trucks were only available for a short time. When does it become mandatory?

Penny pinching? I don't care if it's a vast right wing conspiracy, sun spots, black helicopters or alien influence. The longer we can go without egr the better.

Re:04 cummins without egr??

I noticed on cummins' website, it gives oil change interval recommendations. For California and a few other states, the oil change interval is 3750/7500, compared to 7500/15000. Do you folks think this is because these vehicles already have egr and it's dirtying the oil, or are there other known reasons?
